My favorites are Morning Glory Moon & Last Light. I love the wild things coming in, & the speaker’s embracing of those wild things, like the morning glory seeds, apparently from the departure of the person she’s speaking to–it certainly raises unanswered questions about the two people & their relationship. And then in Last Light, the “engine sputtered,”… “swaying lantern,”–very vivid but conveys the sense of silence & immensity.

This is the first published collection by this writer but it’s clear that she’s been honing her craft for a long time. It’s a powerful work.
