Self Publishing & Design Services

This option is best for entrepreneurial authors who wish to manage sales and distribution of their work, or who just want a limited number of books for personal use. This service is not limited to poetry; we are here to help you publish novels, memoirs, family histories, cookbooks, self-help, how-to books, etc.  We provide the administrative, design and technical expertise for bringing the book to fruition, and then turn over the keys you, the author, to manage marketing, royalties, book orders and sales as you please.

I had the pleasure of working with Shawn during the production of She Holds the Face of the World, the 10th anniversary anthology for VoiceCatcher: a journal of women’s voices and visions. Shawn is both creative and analytical, two traits that — trust me! — you want in your publisher. This means she’s detailed, organized and able to navigate the logistics of schedules, budgets and print runs. But, she’s also a highly talented designer — from cover to cover, the anthology sings because of her excellent eye. Our book is something that everyone is incredibly proud of and that’s in no small part due to Shawn beautiful and thorough work.

After working with [the] Poetry Box, I realized the decision to work with Shawn and Robert was one of the best I’ve ever made. Shawn was a joy to work with. I depended on her good advice; she was always there when I needed her and took care of all those pesky details. Shawn and Robert are both talented artists committed to helping others bring their work to life on the printed page.  (Read full testimonial here)

"The Poetry Box made publishing easy.  I submitted a Word document and some images, and they returned a professional-looking book in less time than I expected.  Both the cover and the interior layout are beautiful. Shawn also set up an account for me on Amazon’s CreateSpace so that I could manage my royalties. I highly recommend their services."
