Today immigration is at the forefront of our national conversation. For some, it’s a security issue, for others, a humanitarian crisis. This program will address the humanitarian crisis this issue presents – and it will be done through poetry.
The poetry in this presentation was written to put a human face on this crisis at our border by giving testament to the suffering that these migrants face in their native lands, the trials they face as they travel north, and the challenges they encounter in their new land.
