Description
“The Poeming Pigeon: Doobie or Not Doobie?”
The first eleven issues of The Poeming Pigeon featured original cover illustrations by Robert R. Sanders, introducing “Homer” our pigeon mascot donning his favorite chapeaus & unique accessories to celebrate each thematic issue.
Naturally with The Poeming Pigeon being published in Oregon, we had to pay homage to the recent state legalization of cannabis and debut our third issue on the notorious date of 4-20. All it took was Robert illustrating Homer in the style of Bob Marley, complete with dreadlocks, a toque with the classic marijuana leaf, and a bong under his wing. And of course, a hand-rolled doobie to display the title pun.
